Howard and Betty Carr have been teaching oil and watercolor students across the US, England and France for over 30 years about how to capture the effects of light and mood in their paintings.








 

Howard Carr studied at Chouinard Art Institute and received his MFA from California College of Arts and Crafts. He is a Knickerbocker signature artist, cover artist with feature article in SOUTHWEST ART, cover artist for VITALITY MAGAZINE, (5 times) & has had feature articles in ART OF THE WEST magazine.

The Carr team are considered masters of color and Outstanding Teachers who emphasize the simplicity of how a painting works and how to do it. Pure, clean, luminous results in your landscapes are taught step-by-step, from beginning to end, with daily demonstrations and individual instruction. Each day will begin with a question-and-answer session followed by an hour-long painting demonstration.

Students will spend the remainder of the day painting with personalized instruction.

The Workshop will be Plein Air for 3 days, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, September 11, 12 & 13, 2017 and will be on sites in Morro Bay, CA. The cost of this Workshop will be $250 for CCWS Members and $285 for non-members. ​Betty Carr received her MFA from San Jose State University and has taught painting for many years. She is the author of the acclaimed instructional book, "Seeing the Light; An Artist's Guide," and her work is featured in numerous books including; "Creative Composition & Design," "The Painter's Workshop," "Splash 5," "Painter's Quick Reference; Flowers, Landscapes, and Flower Pocket Pal." Carr is a Signature Member of the Knickerbocker Society of Artists and Arizona Plein Air Painters.
