"Shape is important in the visual language of your painting. In our workshop we will discover ways to link shapes together to create pathways of vision that will keep the viewer engaged.
In addition, we will discuss practical color mixing, transparent layering, mingling, plus use of opaque watercolor."
Dale Laitinen has been painting for over forty years with thirty five of those in watercolor. He is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, and Watercolor West. He is a graduate of Modesto Junior College and San Jose State University with a BA in Art with a painting concentration.
"Painting is more than merely copying the surface of your intended subject, it is painting what you feel about it. Another way to say it is finding the poetry in the subject. It is what you bring to it as much as what confronts you visually."
